i have the LOTR Risk, looks cool.
but it is a pretty complicated game, not overly complicated, maybe a little over chess or about that in difficulty. the object is quit simple... rule the world.
the basics i remember(only played a few times and has been a while) are that you set up some troops(diferent troop have differnt abilities) and try to take over areas as well as pretect areas. the dice are used for hit point and defence points when attack or being attacked.
well yeah, its a little complicated but once you play a few times you will come to memorize the rules and play it like any other game i guess. but if you cant manage to memorize what peices do what in chess or think chess is to hard, i think it would be a little complicated.
also i recomend if you know or have a few people who like to play board games or already have it to play with them before buying it.
this was a Risk overview by Drolkan =P

well, i have no idea exactly how much £14 is, i would guess about $20 cuz thats about how much most boardgames are around here. there are often sales around x-mas time and i kno Toys 'R Us has like buy 1 get one half off of something like that sales and thats usually when i get a few new ones. i dunno if Toys 'R Us is outside the US or not but if so check them out around november or early december.

Dude, isn't £14 like $28? I wouldn't do it if I were you! But then again, I don't know very much about Risk (and I'm a bit of a cheapskate.) Maybe it's worth it.

no, its not double. not country, last i saw, had an extange rate that high with the us. they are all 0.something or 1.something. not many 0.somthings though.
maybe check out some yard sales or thrift stores. if you are bought and determand to check it out. i dont think you will but, hey, maybe you will come arcoss a yard sale with a ton of cool board games and one is risk and there all like £2 or £3.
